What Are dermOsomes™?

Dermodality dermOsomes™ are bioactive extracellular vesicles derived from ethically sourced Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cells (WJ-MSCs). These nano-sized vesicles function as biological messengers, supporting the skin’s natural communication systems that regulate repair, recovery, and visible skin quality.

Exosomes are naturally released by cells and play a critical role in cell-to-cell signaling—the process by which cells communicate instructions related to renewal, balance, and response. Rather than forcing change through stimulation or trauma, dermOsomes™ are designed to support how the skin already knows how to function.

Each vial contains 10 billion fully intact, DNA-free exosomes, independently tested by CLIA-certified laboratories and backed by a Certificate of Conformity. dermOsomes™ contain no plant-based, animal-derived, synthetic, or “exosome-like” substitutes — only true, characterized extracellular vesicles.

Why Cellular Communication Matters in Skin Health

Skin rejuvenation is not driven by a single ingredient or pathway. It relies on coordinated signaling between cells to regulate:

  • Collagen and elastin signaling
  • Cellular turnover and renewal
  • Inflammatory balance
  • Barrier repair and post-procedure recovery

As skin ages — or undergoes stress from environmental exposure, inflammation, or advanced treatments — this communication can slow or become dysregulated. When signaling is impaired, the skin may appear dull, less resilient, slower to recover, or more reactive.

dermOsomes™ are designed to support these signaling pathways, helping optimize the skin’s natural processes for healthier-looking skin over time.

Our Story

What Makes dermOsomes™ Different

Not all exosome products are created equal — and many products on the market today are mislabeled, fragmented, or incomplete.

Dermodality dermOsomes™ stand apart because they are:

  • Derived from Wharton’s Jelly MSCs, a highly researched and robust source

  • Fully characterized and particle-counted

  • DNA-free and free of contaminants

  • Third-party tested by CLIA-certified laboratories

  • Backed by documentation verifying structure, purity, and consistency

This ensures professionals are working with true exosomes, not growth-factor blends, synthetic vesicles, or marketing-driven alternatives.

What dermOsomes™ Are Designed to Support

Within professional skincare protocols, dermOsomes™ are formulated to support:

  • Visible improvement in skin texture and tone

  • A smoother appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Enhanced recovery following advanced treatments

  • Reinforcement of barrier function and skin resilience

Because they work through cellular communication rather than stimulation alone, dermOsomes™ are well-suited for layering with advanced modalities, not replacing them.

Exosomes Are Dose-Dependent

There is no one-size-fits-all protocol with exosomes. Dosing should always be based on the client’s age, skin condition, and treatment goals.

You can apply as little as 0.5 ml (approximately 1 billion exosomes) for a full-face treatment and still see visible improvement. On the other end of the spectrum, you may apply the full 5 ml vial (10 billion exosomes) in one session for more advanced correction or intensive support.

The formulation spreads exceptionally well, allowing smaller doses to make a meaningful impact when used strategically.

Dosing & How dermOsomes™ Are Measured

Each vial contains 10 billion exosomes suspended in 5 ml of saline. For simplicity and consistency, dosing is always measured by milliliters of solution, not by exosome count alone.

Dosing Breakdown:

  • 0.5 ml = ~1 billion exosomes

  • 1 ml = ~2 billion exosomes

  • 2.5 ml (half vial) = 5 billion exosomes

  • 5 ml (full vial) = 10 billion exosomes

This approach makes treatment planning straightforward, repeatable, and easy to document across protocols

Clinical Dosing vs. Real-World Treatment Rooms

In laboratory settings, clinical studies have evaluated dosing at 5 billion, 10 billion, 50 billion, and 100 billion exosomes per treatment. Across these studies, 5 billion exosomes consistently delivered excellent results.

In real-world professional settings — including our own treatment rooms — we frequently see visible improvement using 1–2 billion exosomes (0.5–1 ml) when properly paired with exfoliation or advanced modalities.

For providers who want to align closely with clinical protocols, using 2.5 ml (half a vial) per session delivers approximately 5 billion exosomes, matching the most effective study dosage.

Application Guidelines & Treatment Pairing

dermOsomes™ may be applied topically and are best integrated after barrier-disruptive treatments that create micro-channels in the skin, significantly improving absorption.

Recommended pairing modalities include:

  • Microneedling & RF microneedling

  • Nano-infusion or nano-stamping

  • Dermaplaning

  • Microdermabrasion

  • Light chemical peels

While dermOsomes™ can be applied to clean, non-exfoliated skin, results are consistently enhanced when used after controlled exfoliation, aligning with Dermodality’s SKNditioning™ philosophy.

Suggested Professional Pricing Strategy

When purchased in a 3-pack, the raw cost of each vial is $200. We recommend structuring pricing to achieve at least a 2× return on product cost, though many advanced practices charge significantly more.

Example pricing models:

  • Half vial (2.5 ml / 5B exosomes): charge $200+ add-on

  • Full vial (5 ml / 10B exosomes): charge $400+ add-on

  • 10 treatments at 0.5 ml each: $40 per treatment minimum

  • 5 treatments at 1 ml each: $80 per treatment minimum

These figures are starting points only. Many practices command higher pricing when dermOsomes™ are paired with Juvasonic®, microneedling, hair restoration, or laser treatments.

Volume pricing:

  • 1 vial: $250

  • 3 vials: $600

  • 6 vials: $1,150

  • 9 vials: $1,650

  • 12 vials: $2,100

As with all advanced treatments, education, positioning, and protocol design significantly influence perceived value and profitability.

Storage & Stability

dermOsomes™ are formulated for professional clinical handling with verified stability across cold-chain conditions:

  • -80°C: up to 15 months

  • -20°C: up to 6 months

  • 4°C (refrigerated): up to 3 months

This stability ensures product integrity from storage through treatment delivery.

Professional Education Available

While dermOsomes™ may be purchased without certification, Dermodality strongly recommends completing the dermOsomes™ Professional Certification to ensure proper dosing, sequencing, and integration — allowing you to achieve optimal results, client satisfaction, and return on investment.
